Dr. Nuttee Suree is a distinguished scholar and educator whose expertise spans a wide range of disciplines, from biochemistry and molecular biology to educational research and lifelong learning. As the Deputy Director of the School of Lifelong Education and the Acting Director of the Center for Safety, Occupational Health, and Workplace Environmental at Chiang Mai University, Dr. Suree is at the forefront of educational innovation and community health initiatives. After earning his bachelor's degree in chemistry with first-class honors from Chiang Mai University, Dr. Suree pursued further studies and earned his doctorate in biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His academic achievements provided a solid foundation for his extensive research career, encompassing computational calculations, molecular dynamics, and protein-ligand biochemistry. Dr. Suree has been pivotal in advancing educational research, particularly in lifelong learning, adult and elderly education, and key skills development for 21st-century learners. His efforts have been instrumental in creating sustainable educational networks that promote economic and social empowerment, particularly among older adults in local communities. Dr. Suree has received numerous accolades, including the National "Outstanding Science Teacher" Award at the higher education level in 2021, presented by the Science Society of Thailand under the Patronage of His Majesty the King. The same year, he was also honored with the "Outstanding Professor, Golden Elephant" Award from Chiang Mai University, among other prestigious awards. Dr. Suree's leadership extends beyond the classroom. He has played a critical role in various international collaborations, such as the Euro-Asian Collaboration for Enhancing STEM Education (EASTEM) project funded by Erasmus+ of the European Union. His efforts in this initiative have been vital in fostering a robust STEM education network and promoting learner-centered teaching internationally.
