Originally from New Zealand, Michelle has also taught in England and Malaysia. She has been based in Malaysia for 10 years, and has gone from a teacher to a whole school principal. She is the Principal at Sayfol International School, where she has been for 6 years.    Educational Leadership provides a platform for creating greater opportunities, and Michelle has credited it for its pivotal role in giving her the chance to help shape the children and teachers who attend the institution that she works for. As a leader, she is still involved with day-to-day activities. She wants to continue to learn and grow herself, to develop more awareness and ideas in order to continue to help, support and grow those who she works with.    As a leader, it is her belief that she still does not know everything. Learning and education is a continuous and never-ending process. Discussing with other educational professionals and learning about the latest developments and new theories that apply to education are extremely important to her. She wants to be able to learn new concepts and ideas, that she can share with her teachers and in turn, they can apply to their classes, thus having an impact on the students and leaders of tomorrow.    A true leader is one who walks alongside and inspires others, this is what she is to be.
