Matthew Brown was educated in the UK. He attended Swansea University in Wales, having become fluent in Welsh and went on to teach the subject that has become his lifelong passion – Physics. Matthew has extensive experience in academic and pastoral leadership, having been Head of Department and Head of a large and very successful Sixth Form before eventually becoming Headteacher. Prior to leaving Wales to move to Malaysia, Matthew was Head of Learning Services for the entire region. He led the establishment of the first all-through school (ages 3-18) and managed over 40 Primary and Secondary schools. Matthew missed interacting with students thus he opted to return to a school-based position. As Headmaster of Epsom College in Malaysia, Matthew is committed to ensuring consistently excellent standards both in terms of academic outcomes, pastoral care and wider curriculum provision.
