Beth has been in the education profession for more than 3 decades and has witnessed how teaching and learning have evolved. She is an advocate of experiential learning. Anything that a child has experienced has a significant impact on his learning journey. In her school, they give children opportunities to immerse themselves in the rhythm of nature — using their senses to absorb what there is to learn outside the four walls of the classroom. The outcome is truly amazing! Kids get to enjoy the learning process in the company of friends and classmates!

External learning trips and their impact on the learner's social and academic performance

Outdoor learning is experiential in nature. Learners express their ideas better when they've experienced a task first-hand.
Outdoor learning offers more opportunities for learners to work with their peers/classmates in a more natural way.
Outdoor learning encourages inclusivity among learners. It also improves the relationship between the learners and their environment.
