Li Zhen has been teaching for almost 11 years in a primary school setting, mainly in Science and Mathematics. She loves the outdoors and sports! More importantly, she enjoys teaching and more so, delivering the joy of learning to her students. With the fast ever-changing world and educational landscape, she constantly questioned herself and sourced tools to leverage on her T&L, to assess how students learn and the remediation she can do as a teacher, to close any learning gaps. She wants students to see learning as a joy not just to excel and score well but to achieve holistically, to become more self-directed learners, compassionate learners and to persevere even if the going gets tough. She has found many Edtech tools that can help her to achieve her lesson outcomes. Since then, she's been very passionate about the use of ICT as she has seen how powerful these tools are and their impact on her students’ learning. One such tool is Pear Deck. Pear Deck allows her to create a non-threatening environment where every student's voice can be heard and to achieve a full participation rate in class discussion. This transformation allows her and her students to learn together or independently at home. In addition, the lesson slides were easy to prepare and most importantly, allows for remote learning as well!
