Li Zhen Quah, Teacher, Kong Hwa School

Hi, I’m Quah Li Zhen and I’m all about combining math, science, and technology to make learning exciting and accessible for everyone! As a teacher at Kong Hwa School in Singapore, I’ve taken on the role of ICT Coordinator, where I get to collaborate with my Subject Head to design innovative ICT programs for both students and staff. My passion? Using e-pedagogy to create lessons that inspire curiosity and make sure every student, no matter their background, has a seat at the table. I’m a huge believer in the power of technology to transform the classroom, but I also know that nothing beats that personal connection. That’s why, while I love using tools like Pear Deck to boost engagement and feedback, I never forget the human touch that makes learning truly meaningful. I even had the chance to share my journey with interactive tech at last year’s Show and Tell, and it was incredible to see how these tools can bring lessons to life. I hold a second-class honors degree in science and a diploma in education studies from the National Institute of Technology, Singapore. Outside of the classroom, you’ll find me soaking up the sun, playing sports, and clearing my mind in the great outdoors. It’s my way of staying recharged and ready for whatever the next adventure in education brings!
