Li Zhen Quah, Subject Head of Educational Technology, Kong Hwa School

I am a primary school educator and instructional leader in educational technology in Singapore, with experience in shaping school-wide ICT practices that support inclusive, meaningful, and future-ready learning. I play an active role in designing and implementing digital literacy and ICT programmes that strengthen student engagement, personalise learning, and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills across classroom contexts, particularly in Mathematics and Sciences. Grounded in classroom practice, I work closely with teachers to build confidence in integrating platforms such as the Student Learning Space (SLS) and AI-enabled tools to provide timely feedback, surface misconceptions, and scaffold learning for diverse learners. I also support teacher professional growth through workshops, Tech Talk video resources, and collaborative lesson design. I believe that in an AI-transformed world, educational technology must remain pedagogy-driven and values-led, with teachers guiding judgement, nurturing empathy, and preserving the uniquely human aspects of learning—so that technology deepens understanding rather than replaces thinking.
