Kristina Francis is currently the Head of Programme for PG Dip in Educational Technology and Master in Educational Technology Programmes at the Department of Modern Languages, Faculty of Creative Industries in UTAR and also a certified Malaysia HRDC Corp trainer. She graduated with a master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language and completed her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instructional Technology at the University of Malaya.
Her expertise includes the area of educational technology. Her passion includes E-learning as she is trained and experienced in learning the techniques for creating or developing meaningful and useful eLearning using Web 2.0 technological tools. She has an inborn and professional competency in identifying language training arenas, designing syllabi and training curricula, developing teaching and learning methodologies, designing technological tools and programmes for effective teaching and learning and conducting blended learning workshops. She is also a specialist in conducting corporate English and Soft Skills training for various organisations in Malaysia.
Throughout her career, she has immersed herself in the latest advancements in educational technology, such as learning management systems, interactive whiteboards, virtual reality, and AI-driven personalized learning platforms to witness firsthand the transformative power of integrating these tools into the classroom, fostering student engagement, collaboration, and creativity. She constantly seeks to harness the synergy between education and technology, ensuring that learners are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
