Within the Office of Data & Intelligence, he leads a team focused on facilitating and measuring individual and institutional learning at different levels of organisation. As part of the University’s long-term data strategy, his team works across domains to improve the quality, breath, and use of University data for secondary purposes including learning analytics, course improvement, academic research, and real-time reporting. The efforts touch on policy revision, course design, workflow creation, IT system development, and data culture change. Two particular challenges his team faces are: 1) accommodating the unique outcomes of course innovations and personalised learning activities within the University’s assessment and evaluation framework, and 2) streamlining the interfaces transforming and exchanging administrative data, teaching and learning data and research data.
