Jimmie graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, majoring in General Science, at Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University South La Union Campus. He also earned his Master of Arts in Science Education and Doctor of Philosophy in Science Education at DMMMSU-Graduate College, Agoo Centere, Agoo, La Union, Philippines.

He is one of the writers and trainers for the K-12 Basic Education Curriculum, PRIMALS (Pedagogical Retooling in Mathematics, Languages, and Sciences) Program of the Department of Education in the Philippines.

He was awarded the Most Outstanding Public School Head of the Divison of La Union for the year 2020 and was one of the awardees for Gawad Lam-ang for Region 1 as the Most Outstanding School Head for SY 2021-2022.
