Erick Tan, Senior Lecturer, Singapore Institute of Technology

Erick teaches courses relating to critical thinking, academic writing and oral communication, and aspects of linguistics such as Phonetics and Phonology. Trained as a Speech-Language Pathologist and obtaining his Masters in Speech Pathology from La Trobe University in 2003, Erick worked in a variety of hospital and private settings, providing care and rehabilitation for patients with speech, language and voice disorders.    Since joining SIT's Centre for Communication Skills in 2020, Erick has been on the honors' roll for the university's annual Teaching Excellence Award. Erick is a dedicated lecturer who continually strives to enrich his students' learning experience through the delivery of engaging lessons whether in person or online.
