Emmanuel Bernet is a French-Canadian primary school teacher, trainer and researcher for more than 20 years. He holds a doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in educational psychology from the University of Montreal. Throughout the years, he has developed a recognized expertise on competency-based approach, on school motivation, on classroom management and on the use of technologies in education. These skills brought him to work as a teacher trainer in the Quebec public schools and later, in the French Schools of the AEFE network all over Asia-Pacific, especially in China, Australia and Singapore. Since 2013, he has been working at the International French School of Singapore (IFS) as an educational psychology and technology adviser, as well as a professional learning coordinator. At the IFS, he is also conducting educational studies on these topics in collaboration with different universities in Canada, France and Singapore. He has published in journals, and made hundreds of presentations.
