Director of Innovation, Aoba-Japan International School | Director, Aoba Global Campus Based in Japan for over a decade, I have dedicated my career to bridging the gap between education technology ecosystems and human-centered pedagogy. As the Director of Innovation for Japan's leading private school group and the Director of Aoba Global Campus - Japan's first fully online international school - I lead the development of scalable, interactive digital learning models designed to reach students wherever they are. My journey in education and technology is rooted in the belief that digital transformation should amplify human connection, not replace it. Much of my current work centers around leading an Online IB Diploma Programme Pilot in the Asia-Pacific region - a project that fundamentally challenges the boundaries of high-rigor, fully digital international education. I approach education with a "builder" and "synthesiser" mindset, combining hands on technical expertiss with interdisciplinary leadership experience. Schools are ecosystems, and I believe that they are at their healthiest when we are able to see the bigger picture and ensure that everyone - and each of their good ideas - has a place to grow. At EDUtech Asia 2026, I look forward to discussing how we can leverage emerging tech, artificial intelligence, and novel approaches to social, global-scale learning in order to foster deeper cognitive engagement while keeping the human experience at the heart of the classroom.
