Associate Professor LEE Wee Leong currently serves as the Vice President (Learning Services) at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). In this role, he oversees strategic initiatives related to learning technologies, content development, and student tech support. Prior to his current position, he was the Director of Educational Technology & Production and Director of the Online Learning Unit at SUSS, where he played a pivotal role in driving the university’s advancements in online and blended learning platforms. Before joining SUSS, Associate Professor Lee was an Associate Professor (Education) at the Singapore Management University (SMU) School of Information Systems. He also served as the Director of SMU’s Master of IT in Business (Analytics) program, where he shaped the curriculum to meet the growing demands of the business analytics field. At SMU, he taught various courses, including Spreadsheet Business Modelling, Business Process Management, Supply Chain Processes & Technology, and IT Project & Vendor Management. In the industry sector, Associate Professor Lee led the R&D department of Y3 Technologies, the technology arm of YCH Group. During his tenure, he was responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of innovative supply chain solutions, further strengthening his expertise in technology-driven logistics management. Earlier in his career, he was a research fellow and scholar at the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), where he contributed to cutting-edge research in demand forecasting, vehicle routing optimization, loading optimization, and RFID applications. He also gained valuable industry experience in the oil & gas and aerospace sectors, bringing a broad and practical perspective to his academic and leadership roles. Associate Professor Lee holds a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leeds, a Master of Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, and a PhD from Imperial College London. In addition to his academic and professional achievements, he is deeply committed to community service. He currently serves as the Chairperson of FaithActs, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children, youths, families, and seniors. He also previously held a position on the Board of Governance for Methodist Welfare Services, where he chaired the IT subcommittee.
