Universities of the future – What is the vision and how are we driving it forward?

sept 7, 2021 12:30PM SGT (GMT +8) / 2.30pm AEST (GMT +10) / 10am ist (gmt +5.5)

Hosted by Terrapinn in collaboration with D2L

Higher education institutions are at a turning point. Covid-19 has disrupted universities worldwide, with short-term impacts on study through the shift to remote learning and longer-term implications for the provision and structure of higher education. How can universities continue to exist and provide value in the wake of disruptions including rapid technological advancement, geopolitical shifts and a changing workforce and economy?
Across the world, coronavirus has fundamentally changed the student experience. It has reinvigorated the debate about what universities should offer. Falling enrolments and calls for reduced tuition are just some of the difficult issues facing institutions. As the world returns to some semblance of ‘normal’ life, universities are beginning to carve out their ‘new’ normal. Digital campuses, modified lesson delivery, curriculum transformations are just some of the key drivers of a dynamic and vibrant university of the future.
  • Transformed meaning, expectation, and value of higher education
  • Understanding and targeting the modern-day student and learner
  • Post-pandemic pedagogy and curriculum shifts
  • Building a digital campus: Strategy and tools for technology-enabled teaching and learning
  • 2030: How are universities going to evolve in the next decade
