See how the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) prepares students to be Digitally Ready for the Fourth Industrial Revolution! As Singapore progresses as a Smart Nation, new and emerging technologies are increasingly becoming an integral part of our lives. IMDA has designed programmes and resources to equipped students with the necessary digital skills in this robust digital economy and to allow students to experience how technology can benefit the way they work, live and play.

LAB ON WHEELS

LAB ON WHEELS

IMDA Lab on Wheels aims to familiarise and introduce new and emerging tech to prepare citizens to be future ready digital citizens. This is done through bringing interactive showcases, workshops and experiences to students, self-help groups, corporates and the community – to enable them to imagine the possibilities that emerging and future technology could bring to better everyday lives and spark their interest in tech.

Learn how to help students enhance their personal digital defence by taking part in the Lab on Wheels Cyber-Security themed experience! Role play as interns in Critical Infrastructure Companies (e.g. Train Company, Water Utility etc) and take part in a series of challenge-based activities to help you understand the potential damage that can happen when a Critical Information Infrastructure is under cyber-attack. Plus, learn more about how to safeguard yourself on social media brought to you by the IMDA Lab on Wheels!

TECH FOR GOOD SHOWCASE

TECH FOR GOOD SHOWCASE

Interested to hear from students and see the prototypes they have created that help the elderly, disabled or disadvantaged to lead a better life? Or have a glimpse of their digital creations that promote sustainable development and protect the environment?

Join us at the Tech for Good Showcase to see how the students as well as community volunteers from Engineering Good have created innovative projects for good social causes. This aligns with the spirit of IMDA’s Digital Maker programme, where students and adults are inspired to be digital creators to solve real-world problems.

PLAYMAKER

PLAYMAKER

PlayMaker aims to inspire young children to Play and Make with technology, sparking imagination and building creative confidence. The programme introduces child-friendly, technology-enabled toys that help children explore and find creative solutions at preschool centres or parent-child workshops in the community. Guided by adults, children will learn about fundamental programming and engineering concepts, and develop computational thinking and problem solving skills.

Come and visit the PlayMaker programme partner, Preschool Market, to find out how educators infuse these technologies into their curriculum. Interested educators can learn more by registering for a certification course “Tech Toys in Pre-school Classroom” conducted by Association for Early Childhood Educators (Singapore) (AECES).
