Lt.Col.Dr. Tongkarn Kaewchalermtong is a distinguished scholar and academic who currently works as a lecturer in the civil engineering department of the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy (CRMA) and as the chairman of transportation and logistics working group, the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (AFEO).

Dr. Kaewchalermtong has served as a president of ITS Thailand (Intelligent Transport System Associationon), a foreign affairs committee of the Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT), an advisor and former secretary-general of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) - Thailand International Section, and an associate judge at the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court (CIPIT). He is also an expert with worldwide fame, having served on the international program committee of the ITS World Congress and the international academic committee of the ITS Asia-Pacific Forum. He formerly advised the transport division, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), and served as an Executive Education (EE) Fellow, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (NUS) and a committee at Thai Railway Engineering Association (TREA).
