Roland has 19 years experience in the railway signalling industry.
He started his career in a research group at the Vienna University of Technology, designing and testing new ETCS components. As Product Line Manager is responsible for ETCS trackside and onboard solutions since 2005. Additionally Roland acted as operational project manager to deliver ETCS solutions to Mexico, Spain and Turkey.
Since 2021 Roland is Head of Product Policy and leading the Thales Strategy for ETCS L1 trackside, ETCS L2 trackside, ETCS Onboard and ATO solutions.
