John began his career in SBS Transit's Rolling Stock maintenance and overhaul team and was eventually rotated to the Signalling department. Having 4 years of experience both in Rolling Stock and Signalling, he was eventually placed in a strategic role within a new division called Rail Engineering and performance, where he is responsible for the analysing and implementing enhancements across the signalling systems of SBS Transit's MRT/LRT lines to improve reliability. He leverages a suite of tools, including condition monitoring and data analytics, to monitor system performance, implement reliability improvement initiates, and assess the veracity of these initiatives.
