Andrew has over 30 years’ experience within transport and civil engineering with a specific focus on the maintenance and renewal of rail assets and the technical delivery of strategic major rail investment. At Arup, Andrew leads the global high speed rail business and is also the regional rail business leader for UK, India, Middle East and Africa. Prior to Arup, Andrew was seconded into HS2 Ltd as the Head of Route and Station Engineering. Working with the UK’s Department for Transport, he was involved in the development of the proposed high speed rail network; working closely with government to provide rail engineering, operations and maintenance expertise regarding the deliverability and integration of high speed, conventional rail and light rail transport solutions. Andrew is also a Board Director for the
Railway Industry Association (RIA) and Vice Chair of the RIA International Board; working closely with the UK Department of International Trade.
