After graduating from Waseda University's School of Liberal Arts in 2008, Shiro joined Japan Airlines in 2009. Shiro has been involved in software development, airline partnership strategy, and is also a founder of in-house venture throughout his career at JAL. Since 2022, Shiro has been responsible for strategic investment and new business development at JAPAN AIRLINES VENTURES, based in Silicon Valley, US. In parallel, he commutes bi-weekly to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT Sloan School of Management) in Boston to pursue an MBA.
