Rob Galbraith, Director of Flight Operations Policy and Performance, United Airlines

Rob Galbraith is the Director of Policy and Performance for United Airlines and a Captain of the Boeing 757 and 767 aircraft. Rob has worked with multiple IATA RCG teams, the North Atlantic Working Group, NAMEUR, A4A, NAT Airspace work groups, CAAC, SAE, Airservices Australia, and community noise groups around the world on improving how United Airlines operates within the local airspace system, and airports mitigating the noise impact on communities, improving the efficiency of United’s operation and our environmental impact. Rob’s team at United manages all Flight Operations policies and procedures associated with international operations and cross-divisional policies and procedures, the development of new Electronic Flight Bag technologies, and the development and generation of all reporting and analytic work. Rob’s team also supports the development of United’s new Flight Planning System and Performance software. Rob also leads the United Airlines Fuel Council, which is responsible for managing United Airlines' efforts to reduce the amount of fuel it burns and the emissions it produces. This work includes reducing APU run times, fuel carried, aircraft modifications, aircraft weight reductions, and inflight route optimization.
