Christopher Schnelle is a Staff Engineer in SwRI’s Advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) Department. Mr. Schnelle has spent the majority of his career as systems engineer developing avionics, flight controls, and self-protection systems. He currently leads the development of advanced EW systems and is active in developing new EW technologies under both Government and SwRI funded research programs.
Mr. Schnelle has been a leader in the development of Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA) standards. He led the contractor team developing NAVAIR’s Hardware Open Systems Technologies (HOST) standards set for 8 years. Mr. Schnelle has been a long-time member of the SOSATM Consortium and currently leads the small form factor subcommittee.
Mr. Schnelle holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University as well as Masters’s degrees in Engineering Management and Telecommunications from Southern Methodist University.
