Prasart is a Senior Lecturer of Accounting and the Co-Director of the Master of Professional Accounting (MPA) program at the School of Accountancy, Singapore Management University (SMU). At SMU, he has received numerous teaching awards, including SMU's Excellent Teacher, SMU's Most Promising Teacher, and the SMU School of Accountancy's Most Outstanding Teacher. Before joining SMU, Prasart earned a Master in Professional Accounting (M.P.A.) and a PhD in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin. He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and a Certified in Strategy and Competitive Analysis (CSCA). Additionally, Prasart is the recipient of the ICMA Board of Regents CMA Gold Medal Award and the ICMA Board of Regents CSCA Gold Medal Award, having achieved the highest global scores on both the CMA and CSCA exams. He is the first person to receive both prestigious awards.
