Mr Tan Ching Hwee was elected as an ASME Executive Council member in 2024, and is the current chair of ASME’s Harmony Action Group. With over a decade of experience buying, repairing and selling second and third life-cycle devices, Mr Tan is a leader for a community that embraces fixing and maximising the life of owned gadgets, instead of buying a new one when signs of wear and tear start showing. As head of ASME's Harmony Action Group, Mr Tan aims to promote education and adoption of more sustainable practices in local SMEs, and provides data-driven feedback to the Singapore government with regards to environmental, social and governance initiatives by SMEs
