Rich Coombes is a Partner at Nexus Advisory, a Sydney-based commercial finance advisory firm that helps businesses access fit for purpose capital solutions. With over a decade of experience as a founder and commercial leader across the FMCG and technology sectors, Rich brings a hands-on, operator-led perspective to the SME lending space. Prior to joining Nexus Advisory, Rich was a co-founder of Batlow Cider, Will & Co Coffee, Capital Brewing, and Kaddy Marketplace. Earlier in his career, he spent five years in investment banking at UBS and Investec Bank, working across Equity Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions. Having worn many hats as a founder, Rich enjoys working closely with SME owners and their advisors to support growth, acquisitions and transition. He is particularly focused on structuring finance to support growth, and the role well-planned capital can play in creating options and momentum for businesses.
