Michael Morton is an Assistant Commissioner at the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) with over two decades experience encompassing individuals, small, medium and large taxpayer markets. He is leading one of the ATO 2024/25 Key Focus Areas, on blueprinting a future small business digitalised tax experience.
As a steward of the tax system and an advocate for small businesses, Michael is focused on how we can best leverage the rapid evolution in digital solutions and technology to create a significantly easier tax experience for small business; one that is seamless and supportive, and ensures small businesses have certainty in meeting their tax obligations correctly from the start.
