Sapan has extensive research experience in cell and molecular biology developed at the Universities of Oxford and Dundee. Following 10 years of research experience, Sapan transitioned to academic technology transfer field to help commercialise early-stage technologies where he raised over £1 million in proof of concept funding.
Sapan joined the consultancy team Oxentia, part of Oxford University Innovation in 2017. He helped clients across the world in several aspects of innovation management, including developing IP and commercialisation strategy and negotiating for out-licensing early-stage technologies. In August 2018 Sapan joined Horizon Discovery, where he worked in the IP and licensing team.
Sapan founded Drishti Discoveries in 2019 to develop RNA-targeting gene therapy for several inherited genetic diseases with high unmet needs.
