Research fields and achievements
Petra Reinke is Professor of Internal Medicine and Nephrology and since 2017 Director of the Berlin Center for Advanced Therapies (BeCAT). She is also Head of the GMP-Facility and of the research area “Immune Systems” at the BIH Center for Regenerative Therapies (BCRT). She published more than 300 original and 20 review articles within the following scientific topics:
- transplantation medicine (immunology of acute/chronic rejection, cardiovascular complications, infectious complications, long-term outcome of transplant patients)
- development of new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in transplantation (non-invasive immune markers, detection and targeting of memory T cells, minimization strategies of immunosuppressive therapies, biomarkers of infections/anti-infectious response)
- adoptive Teff/Treg T cell therapy
- development of new therapeutic approaches of critically ill patients (sepsis)
