Semarion is a spin-out company from the Cavendish laboratory at Cambridge University. We are reimaging adherent cell assays through our proprietary SemaCytes® microcarrier platform. These flat carriers are developed using microchip fabrication technologies and function as miniaturized, steerable wells to turn adherent cells into liquid reagents. Our SemaCytes® seamlessly integrate with existing equipment and infrastructure and facilitate truly unique advantages. We can now freeze cells in an adherent format for on-demand assays with high reproducibility, multiplex 10 different cell types into one well to accelerate multi-cell screening workflows, and ultra-miniaturize cell assays to run broader screening campaigns with scarce tissues such as those derived from patients.
