Dr Norman Begg, Vice President, Head of Scientific Affairs and Public Health, GSK Vaccines

Dr  Norman Begg is head of Scientific Affairs and Public Health at GlaxoSmithKline Vaccines, in Wavre, Belgium. He has held a number of positions since joining GSK in 2000, including clinical development (paediatric vaccines) and Chief Medical Officer.
He is a public health physician who worked for many years in the UK national public health institute, and as a regular consultant to the  World Health Organisation, before in GSK. He has published extensively on the epidemiology, prevention and control of vaccine-preventable disease
