A medical doctor and infectious disease epidemiologist, Dr Seth Berkley is currently serving as an advisor and Board member to numerous health and technology companies and is an Adjunct Professor at the Pandemic Center at Brown University. He previously was CEO of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance from 2011-23, co-created COVAX for access to COVID-19 vaccines for all countries, founded and was CEO of the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), was an officer of the Rockefeller Foundation, the Ministry of Health Epidemiologist in Uganda and worked in Special Pathogens at the US CDC. He has published hundreds of articles, received numerous prestigious awards, three honorary doctorates, given three TED talks and was elected to the National Academy of Medicine. Dr. Berkley received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Brown University and trained in internal medicine at Harvard University.
