Gustavo Mendes Lima Santos, Director of Regulatory, Quality Control and Clinical Studies, Instituto Butantan

Graduated in Pharmacy from the University of Brasília (UnB) and in History from the State University of Londrina (UEL), Gustavo is a specialist in Public Health from the State University of Maringá (UEM), Master in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) and doctoral student in Pharmaceutical Sciences also at UEM. With more than 20 years of experience, he worked with pharmaceutical registration at Laboratorio Teuto Brasileiro and traveled through different sectors of the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), becoming an international reference in regulatory matters, biological medicines, medication registration among other technical matters of area. He was a research scientist at the International Vaccines Institute (IVI) in Seoul, South Korea, where he followed the development of new vaccines for neglected diseases.
