Dr. Cayli is CEO and Chairman of Florabio. Dr. Cayli has started his cell culture venue by Roche Diagnostics in Penzberg, Germany. During this time, he has experienced the first large scale manufacturing challenges in cell culture. Dr. Cayli has worked later by Boehringer Ingelheim in Biberach as Head of Cell Culture Technology Group. He has designed production processes to run in 15.000 L scale. During this time, he has seen the need of a good functioning platform technology for manufacturing of recombinant proteins. He has then founded the Cellca GmbH in Germany and developed one of the most powerful platform technologies in the world for cell line generation and process design. Cellca GmbH was sold to Sartorius in 2015. During 7 years of Cellca experience, his group has developed many cell culture media, production cell lines and fermentation processes. He is specialized in upstream process development from small to large scale including production processes based on primary cell cultivation.
