Process & Nominations

Industry’s role

From the start of the process on November 27th 2017 , any company within the vaccine industry can nominate themselves, clients, partners or any organisation they feel worthy for the relevant 9 Awards Categories.

On January 12th this nominating process will close and the list of companies put forward will be made available for voting to begin from the industry, on who they want to win the specific Awards category.

At this point we strongly recommend those companies put forward to share the voting with colleagues, partners, clients and peers within the vaccine industry who would feel strongly and want to vote for said specific company in that category.

Outside of this we will be reaching out to the entire vaccine industry to ask for votes on who they feel is a worthy winner of each award from those put forward.

On 23rd February the top 6 shortlisted companies in each category based on the votes so far will be identified and contacted to fill out the official ViE Awards Submission document. The final shortlist will be publicly announced on February 28th where voting will then continue with just the shortlisted companies available to continue the process, until March 9th where voting will close.

At this point the votes and Awards Submission document are provided to the Scientific Advisory Board to determine the winners which are announced on the evening of the 3rd April 2018 at the 11th ViE Awards Dinner.

All of the above process will be made public via the World Vaccine Congress Washington website and VaccineNation community blog and accompanying marketing channels to enable the wider industry to cast their vote on the throughout the process.   These votes will be accrued and will accompany the Scientific Advisory Board scores to give an overall aggregate score.

Scientific Advisory Board

The ViE Awards prides itself on its scientific advisory board, comprised of senior industry representatives from governmental organizations, academia, industry wide experts and affiliate member associations, pharmaceutical and biotech. Each of the panellists are chosen for their knowledge, objectivity and credibility.

The board mark each submission form against each criteria for its category and the scores marked out of a possible 10 for each criteria. Additional bonus marks will also be awarded by the external voting process. Scores are then collated by the ViE Awards team.

Details of the winners are strictly embargoed until the evening Awards ceremony on the 3rd April 2018.
