Robert Choy, PhD is Director, Research and Development in PATH’s Center for Vaccine Innovation and Access. PATH is a nonprofit global health organization dedicated to advancing simple, affordable, and accessible technologies to increase health equity in low-income countries. Robert serves as a project leader for development of products targeting infectious diseases of global health importance, including enteric and diarrheal diseases, malaria, COVID-19, and HIV/AIDS. He also leads PATH’s efforts on implementation of controlled human infection models to accelerate development vaccines for global health. He has spent more than 14 years at PATH working with industry and academic partners to advance vaccines, drugs, drug-delivery systems, and diagnostic tools. Before joining PATH, he spent 10 years at the San Francisco Bay Area-based biotech company Exelixis, Inc. Robert received his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Washington.
