Dr. Ballmann is a veterinary virologist with over a decade of experience at Batavia Biosciences. As the Associate Director of the Viral Vector and Vaccine Development Department, she leads innovative programs focused on the development and production of viral vaccines and viral vectors. Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Ballmann is deeply passionate about ornithology. Two years ago, her interests in virology and ornithology intersected when the seabird populations she studied were decimated by avian flu. Since then, she has leveraged her unique blend of skills in these disciplines, working both professionally and as a dedicated volunteer, driven by a genuine interest and a strong sense of mission.
