About Dr. Karina Pasquevich: Dr. Karina Pasquevich is an Argentinean scientist with more than 20 years of experience in the field of Immunology. Her journey in this discipline began in 2003, and since then, she has been working in immunology of infectious diseases, vaccine and adjuvant development field.  Current Focus: Dr. Pasquevich's current research activities are centered on mucosal adjuvant development. Specifically, she is deeply engaged in the discovery and development of adjuvants tailored for orally administered vaccine formulations. Mainly she is focused on Structure-activity relationship studies of these mucosal adjuvants. Moreover, since 2020, Dr. Pasquevich has been actively involved in the development of a COVID-19 subunit vaccine named ARVAC. This vaccine has been approved in Argentina and the group continues working in this area with the aim of contributing to the global fight against the SARS-CoV-2 and with the focus on pandemic preparedness in South America.
