Hanneke Schuitemaker, Ph.D., is the Chief Scientific Officer at Valneva, Austria, with responsibility for pre-clinical and translational R&D for prophylactic vaccines against infectious diseases. Before joining Valneva, she served for almost 14 years as the Head of Viral Vaccine Discovery and Translational Medicine at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. In addition, Hanneke is a Professor in Virology at the Amsterdam University Medical Center in The Netherlands.
