Nicholas Brooke is Executive Director of PFMD.org and Founder of The Synergist, an incubator which aims to solve some of the most pressing societal problems through building partnerships to solve collective challenges that require collective solutions.  Working with key players from across the public-private spectrum, The Synergist currently manages five programs: The Pregnancy and Medicine Initiative, Break Dengue, The Alliance for Maternal Health Equality, Patient Focused Medicine Development and Safe Motherhood Week. Mr Brooke is Economist by training and was previously CEO of an award-winning digital agency, managing a team of 45 people providing cutting-edge digital strategy to global corporations across multiple sectors. His deep understanding of how digital can facilitate and accelerate collective action drove him to see the potential for an independent organization that can enable partnerships and drive them to jointly solve societal challenges. Equally, digital action is at the heart of PFMD: better equipping patients and their medical teams to tackle disease and chronic illness by bringing together patient engagement initiatives in a mapping and networking tool, and ultimately improving the standard of patient care.
