Juan Manel Fontanet  Sacristan  currently serves as a specialist in the Medication Area of the Catalan Health Service (CatSalut) and as an associate professor in the Department of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine, UAB (Parc Taulí Hospital Teaching Unit). He is a pharmacist specialized in hospital pharmacy and holds a PhD in pharmacology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). He also has a Master’s in Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Care from the University of Barcelona (UB) and a diploma in drug and health technology evaluation within the National Health System.
Previously, Juan Manel Fontanet  Sacristan  worked in the pharmacy service at Parc Taulí Hospital in Sabadell and in the clinical pharmacology service at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau.
In addition to his professional roles, he is a member of the Rare Diseases Advisory Commission (CAMM) at CatSalut and serves as an expert advisor to FEDER (Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases).
