Lucia Faccio, has more than 16 years experience managing technology transfer activities, a deep understanding of the biotech and pharmaceutical market and business world.
She is the Director of Research and Development of Fondazione Telethon an Italian charity funding research on genetic diseases. With the challenge of bringing therapies to patients affected by rare genetic diseases, Lucia manages a group of professionals focused on managing peer review and research grants, IP evaluation, negotiation and management of industrial partnerships, and regulatory affairs activities.
Previously she worked as Director of Biotechnology Transfer of the San Raffaele Scientific Institute, the largest Italian biomedical research institute.
She graduated in Padua in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology and she obtained a PhD in Biotechnology in association with the Harvard Medical School.
