Dr. Arantxa Sancho is the Director of the Medical-Scientific Affairs Department at Farmaindustria. She holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Madrid and a PhD in Pharmacology. Her extensive experience encompasses both research and regulatory affairs. Before joining Farmaindustria, she held relevant positions, such as the presidency of the Human Medicines Safety Committee of the Spanish Agency of Medicines (Aemps) and the representation of Aemps in the Human Medicines Committee of the European Medicines Agency (EMA). Additionally, she leads the new Medical-Scientific Affairs Department at Farmaindustria, whose objective is to collaborate with administrations on health plans and strategies, promote the proper use of medicines, and monitor advances in biopharmaceutical innovation and their impact on society. She joined Farmaindustria in February 2024
