Marc co-founded Minoryx in 2011 and has been its CEO since its inception leading its journey from concept to its current stage. Its lead drug candidate, leriglitazone, is now under review by the EMA for a potential marketing authorization in X-ALD, while in the US is in phase 3. Minoryx has operations in Spain and Belgium, is backed by a syndicate of experienced investors, raised more than €150 million and reached significant licensing agreements with commercial stage European and Chinese companies. Marc obtained a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Barcelona, and prior co-founding Minoryx, he worked at Crystax Pharmaceuticals and Oryzon Genomics.
Leriglitazone is being developed by Minoryx Therapeutics for the treatment of X-linked Adrenoleukodystrophy (X-ALD) and other orphan CNS disease such as Rett Syndrome. In the case of X-ALD, Minoryx is currently focused on its more severe form (cALD, cerebral ALD) and leriglitazone is now under review of its Marketing Authorization Application in EU and phase 3 in the US. The presentation will cover the key results from the clinical trials conducted so far and its path to approval in EU and US.
