Zeina Zeidan, Ph.D, a dedicated mother and business leader, currently chairs the board of directors at Royal Financials, a renowned financial corporation in Lebanon and the region and acts as independent board member of Lafarge Holcim Liban S.A.L. a stock listed company.
With more than 15 years of experience in the financial arena and an eye for both the details and the bigger picture, Dr. Zeidan has established herself as a skilled financial controller with impeccable strategic vision. Coupled with her extensive managerial experience, she has become a key contributor to the establishment of numerous companies over the past decade. She is an expert in financial oversight and risk mitigation, bolstered by her deep working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Corporate Governance.
Dr. Zeidan earned her Ph.D from Aix-Marseille University, and Master’s degree with a double major in finance and audit. She has since written many articles and publications positively contributing to this dynamic and game changing field.
Dr. Zeidan was also head of the Audit department at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) for multiple years, further enriching her career in academia and her role as a university instructor at different leading academic institutions.
With endless thirst for knowledge and self-development, Dr. Zeidan was trained at IUP of Management and New Technologies, University of Panthéon – Assas and at HEC Montreal. Throughout her rich career, she has attended many international IFRS conferences and workshops, alongside many other professional trainings and recently she graduated with a third MBA (MasterClass for Business Angels) Go Beyond Geneva, focused on the Knowledge Economy and Entrepreneurial EcoSystem.
Being the first woman to occupy a chairman’s position at a leading financial corporation Dr. Zeidan was invited to take part in the United Nation’s 61st session of the Commission on the Status of women. Mentoring and advising woman entrepreneurs became her premeditated duty and in the center of her daily activities and studies.
