Renuke Wijayawardhana, Chief Regulatory Officer, Colombo Stock Exchange

Renuke counts nearly 24 years of service at the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE). As the Chief Regulatory Officer, responsible for the regulatory functions of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), including the areas of Listing, Broker Supervision, Corporate Affairs and Trading & Market Surveillance. He is also responsible regarding the rule making process of the CSE.

Renuke has acquired expertise in market operations, policy and regulation during his tenure at CSE, contributing to strategic and transformational activities of the CSE at various stages in its growth. Successfully transferred pre-trade, trade, post-trade and regulatory/legal experience across divisions within the CSE for diurnal operations and special projects. 

Functions include stakeholder engagement, negotiation and arbitration extending to multiple stakeholder groups; including regulators, stockbrokers, investors, custodians, issuers and investment banks. 

Renuke is an Attorney-at-Law with a Bachelor of Law (LL.B) (Hon.) Degree from University of Colombo.
