Iain Barnes, Head of Portfolio Management, Netwealth

Iain joined Netwealth in January 2016 from UBS Asset Management, where he was an Executive Director and senior portfolio manager in the Global Investment Solutions division. In addition to managing multi-asset portfolios totalling £2 billion, he was one of 6 voting members of the Global Asset Allocation and Currency Investment Committee which was responsible for more than £60 billion of assets under management, including for pension funds, charitable trusts, foundations and high net worth individuals. He led the team’s research across fixed income and selected alternative investment asset classes. 

Prior to joining UBS in 2010, Iain spent ten years at Schroders where he was a multi-asset portfolio manager for institutional and individual clients. Iain holds an MA in history from Edinburgh University and he has been a CFA charter holder since 2003.
