Sean Bergin is Co-Founder and President of APTelecom, a global telecommunications carrier and consultancy specialising in international connectivity, infrastructure advisory, and emerging markets. He is also a Board Member of the Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC), where he contributes to advancing collaboration and knowledge exchange across the global telecommunications and digital infrastructure industry. 

He has more than 25 years of experience in telecommunications, with expertise spanning wholesale carrier services, international connectivity, commercial strategy, business development, infrastructure investment, and regulatory affairs. His work has focused on helping operators, enterprises, investors, and infrastructure providers expand their international communications capabilities.

Sean co-founded APTelecom in 2009 and has led the company's growth into a global provider of wholesale telecommunications services and strategic advisory. Under his leadership, the company has expanded its international presence across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, supporting clients with carrier services, infrastructure planning, commercial partnerships, and investment advisory.

Before founding APTelecom, Sean held senior commercial leadership roles at BT as Head of Carrier Sales for Southeast Asia, where he was responsible for data and voice services across regional carrier markets. Earlier, he served as Director of Sales for Asia Pacific at Australia Japan Cable and held a number of commercial and sales leadership positions at Telstra, supporting enterprise and carrier customers across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

Sean previously served on the PTC Advisory Council before joining the organisation's Board of Governors in 2026. He holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) at the University of New South Wales. His experience combines commercial leadership, international telecommunications, digital infrastructure, and strategic advisory across both established and emerging markets.
