Azmal Yahya, Evp Carrier Enterprise, Telin

Azmal Yahya is the Executive Vice President for Carrier Enterprise, Telin. He is responsible for
Telin’s worldwide Carrier Wholesale, Global Enterprise and Presales & Solutioning teams. He
is also an integral member of the team that looks into Telin’s strategic global expansion and
digitalization initiatives.
Prior to his move to Telin, he spent 11 years with Telekom Malaysia and held various senior
level positions within TM Global and TM Enterprise. In TM Enterprise, he was the Vice
President of Global Enterprise. While in TM Global, he started out as the General Manager of
Product Marketing and then carried on as the Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing. His
last position in TM Global, was the Chief Executive Officer of Acasia Communications Sdn.
Bhd. which is a unique alliance comprising of 7 major ASEAN international telecom providers
with its vision to be the preferred ASEAN Integrated Communications service provider.
Prior to Telekom Malaysia, he had spent 7 years in senior managerial roles with two
international global providers namely, VerizonBusiness/MCI-International Partners Solutions
(IPS) and with Telia International Carrier (TIC) / Business Development, Swedia Networks AB.
Azmal started his professional career as the international private lease circuit, facilities
management service and international ATM service product manager in Telekom Malaysia’s
Global Business Division in 1997 before moving on to Maxis as the international carrier
business manager in 2000. He has a Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) degree
from University Utara Malaysia with over 20 years of corporate experience mainly in global
telecommunications arena.
