Paul is a seasoned Enterprise Cloud Architect with real-world experience establishing certified cloud for Australian Government.
Following an extensive career in software development and solution architecture, he spent several years gaining valuable insights and experience in digital transformation as Microsoft’s inaugural Cloud Solution Architect dedicated to Federal and ACT Government. After leaving Microsoft he spearheaded the effort to architect and deploy an IRAP-certified PROTECTED cloud for the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications. This cloud is purpose-built to support Australia’s largest infrastructure fund as well as its core enterprise data management platform but also to cater for rapid on-boarding of new and existing departmental workloads into a secure, managed environment.
Paul specialises in digitally transforming government using Azure and Microsoft 365 with particular focus on the Australian Central regions hosted in Canberra Data Centres (CDC), and he has been engaged in practical cloud activity across a broad range of agencies including the Department of Infrastructure, Australian Taxation Office, Department of Defence, Department of Human Services, Australian Border Protection, Departments of Jobs and Education, Department of Industry, Australian Maritime Safety Authority, National Disability Insurance Agency, Australian Digital Health Agency, ACTew AGL and ACT Government.
