Julie Salsbury, General Manager, Department of Transport and Main Roads

Julie has spent most of her career in the Queensland public sector, working across two agencies - the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and Department of the Premier and Cabinet. Julie's private sector experience includes her time as Director of Consultancy Services at the Customer Service Institute of Australia – where she worked with businesses across the country on customer service capability development and delivery. In her current role as General Manager Customer Experience at TMR, Julie is the accountable executive for embedding the customer at the heart of departmental policy-making and strategy deployment. National acknowledgement and recognition of her team's commitment and efforts include two Australian Business Awards (2018 and 2019) and achieving finalist status in the Australian Service Excellence Awards four years in a row and winning the 2019 Australian Service Champion Award.
