Clive Reeves is the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer at Telstra and has over 20 years’ experience in cyber security risk management, engineering and operations.
In his role at Telstra, Clive leads critical customer facing security capabilities including the Telstra Security Operation Centres and the Defence Engagement Security Team. He also leads a team of specialists who solve the big security challenges for Telstra.
Before being asked to step into the Deputy CISO role, Clive was the CISO for Telstra’s Defence Engagement Team, where he was responsible for delivering a wide range of cyber security capabilities and professional services to Telstra and key Telstra customers. He also managed a secure operations and incident response centre that protected critical customer networks.
Before joining Telstra, Clive worked for the Australian Government and served in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF).
Clive is passionate about people, technology, innovation and security. He is often called upon to introduce new ways of thinking and help design and implement organisational strategies to embrace and respond to security challenges and opportunities provided by emerging ICT technologies.
Clive is an engineering graduate of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and holds an MBA in Technology Management.
